Have been investigating an Equal Money System at EqualMoney.org.

= $ 4 Life is a commonsense valuation of LIFE as what's HERE in providing for all.

Would be interested to hear comments, concerns, points for discussion.

I always found the use of the word "commons" unsatisfactory because of its generality. However, this helps: "THE COMMONS: shared ownership of space, ideas, and resources". But without "economic literacy" there is little practical meaning conveyed by the definition.

Start with space.
It is any piece of the earth, but more practically it is a piece of ground on (and by)which we have to stand, live and work. This very basic resource is now completely in private hands in spite of the fact that not "private hands" created it. Hence we exist by virtue of permission from those who claim to "own" this fundamental common resource.

"Reclaiming the commons" have to start here. And the modern political machinery for that reclaiming is called Land Value Taxation. So start the practical, indispensable work by reading up on the "imprisoned economics" of LVT.

The other two terms of the definition, “resources and ideas” are of secondary (consequential) importance.
